January 8, 2015A Trail update from our trail boss Mike Robotka~
"All of the trails Bobcat Riders groom are done. The trails are actually pretty smooth but only a two inch or so base. I also spoke with Mark Heil and the trails in Washburn county will open at noon tomorrow January 9th. We will be marking Spider Lakes tomorrow at least from Spider Saloon to Spider six and trail 26. The ice out there is safe if you stay on marked trail and travel slowly between lakes. Also, if anyone is wondering how the LMC we put together is working I"m proud, glad, thankful to say that it performed near perfect as per Spider Bob. If you didn't see the LMC before it went out you wouldn't know it was the same machine. Also the Bombardier with new tracks worked well with the exception of a fuel gelling problem which came down to an obstruction in a fuel line by a small piece of plastic. Also I spoke with Jim Toffness and he informed me the trail into Stone Lake crossing the tracks will be opened Jan. 15. Better than the end of March. as the DOT refused my request to Temp. route a trail over the bridge on Hwy. 70."
Post from the past~
The Club has two groomers and we have two Alliance groomers that need to be out on the trails. To keep up with the grooming we will need some additional groomer operators this season. If you can pitchin contact Mike Robotka. No experience is necessary. We have seasoned operators that will ride along training you in. Although most grooming is done on Mondays and after new snow falls we will be able to accommodate your schedule.
So come on out, learn something new and enjoy our great trails.
